Row Row your boat!

Post by boabyfett »

Bought a water rower on a Black Friday.

The noise of the water would be quite relaxing if it wasnt for my arms, legs and back screaming “what are you doing!” At me.

A rowing machine but the resistance is all based on a water drum, rather than mechanical.

It has a nice splashy noise and sounds a bit like rowing on water.

Ah, like a water bed, but less fun.

Does it feel different to a regular one?

The row is smoother because of the water. It feels more like real rowing, but you can only adjust the resistance by adding or taking away water.

The timer/distance is leas accurate too. Its more guess work about how far you would travel because its less consistent.

But it is roughly right, i think the ones up at 1.5k are great but about half the price is the sensor set up to record enough info and to make it robust enough.

Neat! I had a regular home rower but didn't really like it, the arms never felt balanced or 'right.'

Maybe if I ever get the garage gym built...

See i finally cleaned my garage and built the gym properly at the start if the summer. Dropped 40 pounds since the start of August.

Starting to look like i did in my 20s again, i had no hair then either. Big difference is that injuries dont disappear they hang around for months.

Thanks to searching for what a water rower is, my web pages are now full of adverts for exercise machines of one sort on another.

My walking boots are still fine, thank you very much.

Though I must get a woolly hat - my ears are freezing when I got walking after dark. Or after 3, it’s all the same this time of year.

Get two wooly hats, you will inevitably lose one.

I got a new hat and lost it the day i wore it. I blame the children.

I knitted my own woolly hat way back in the 70s. My hair was much longer then. Looked something like this, but with platform boots and flares.
