So we now have to pay £6 per year to fund network upgrades. Seeing as I pay Mr. Branson and his network is up and running, why do I have to fund BT's underinvestment ?
What's the betting the our glorious MP's can write off this as an expense,
Taxing the internet.

Re: Taxing the internet.
Its a good idea in theory.it will end up too expensive. No one will use it. 9.99 is probably sensible. id pay about 20 quid a month for decent movie service.
Most people will shit themselves with the letters tho.
Eventually they will cut someone off. They will sue for libel/breach of contract and win.knowing somone is using bittorrent/newsgroups is one thing. proving it in a court that they are doing it and its illegal content is another.
Its all gona end up a mess, monatise it sensibly and they will make a fortune.but they wont uggg.
and hilariously if its anewsgroup you can use the, but it was on your servers mr virgin media.

And yeah if they monetised it and made the service as good as the one I currently get *ahem* they'd make a fortune! Thing is they want the internet to be more like Cable TV and less like.. well... the Internet
