So, my 360 that I sent back because it was scratching disks has come home.

Microsoft blame the motherboard :?:

Riiiiight - was a capacitor from the mobo sticking through the dvd drive casing then? :P
If at first you dont succeed, excessive force is probably the answer

Maybe they found that the mobo was on the way out too and used that as justification to just replace all of the internals.
They got things like the atom bamb... so I'm gonna stay where I... AM!
