Partially yes. But I was in the pub a few weeks ago and I met a guy I used to work with who, since the last time I met him, had gone blind due to diabetes - and it seriously f*cked me up, it scared the sh1t out of me!!
Now I'm not diabetic at the moment, but I have a history of diabetes in the family and I'm overweight (not hugely obese, but probably about 3 stone overweight)
So I've had no chocolate or stuff like that for a few weeks, and when I had to go to Julies folks last week cos it was her dads birthday I only had 3 bottles of beer, whereas usually I would have had the best part of a bottle of vodka.
Still not got in to an exercise regime, but I wanted to get in to a proper routine with my diet first cos usually when I start exercising I start eating what I want at the same time, which obviously is no use
Hoping to start exercising today though, start off easy with half an hour on the bike and some push-ups and see how I go from there.


Anyways,to get slightly more back on topic, did anyone catch Frankie Boyle presenting Never Mind the Buzzcocks the other night? if not then its well worth a watch on bbc iplayer - some classic comments like introducing Carol Vodderman (or however you spell her name) as 'a woman who has more brains than Kurt Cobains garage wall'

i caught frankie boyle, funny as a funny thing, such as a walk or something.

phil jupitous was great, he just corpsed the whole episode. Think frankie may get the job if he wants it.

off topic again, yea well my mrs ms scared the crap out of me, blindness is scary though, I kinda went off booze after years on the doors. I have dropped around 4 stone in six months, mens fitness have done a great wee book called get your perfect body in 12 weeks, it may take me a year, but thats just the abuse i gave myself, curry + couch is my enemy. Book is a tenner and well worth a look, done wonders for me. that and krav.

Best way to not get massivly overweight is to get a serious drug habit. That way you can eat and drink what you want but you will never put on the lbs. To paraphrase afore mentioned Mr Boyle, "you never see a fat smack addict do ya"?
