Why were they invented ? What point do they serve ?

Oh yes ... I'm never drinking again blah blah blah.

Suggestions for avoiding / curing?

Mine: painkillers, vitamins & supplements and a pint of water before sleep.

Avoiding - the clearer the drink, the lesser the hangover.

Curing - cold can of Irn Bru (think you southerners are fecked there ) and couple of greasy rolls (bacon and egg or something)

Bad night last night, just finished a bacon roll, working on a haggis roll and a can of diet Irn-Bru.

We do get Irn Bru, I assume its the same stuff. Will stock up, it's been ages since I last drank any.

So far, Bucket of coffee, Bacon & Black pudding roll, Berocca, 2 cans Irn-Bru, Burger and chips and a pint of Bitter. I feel much better.

apparently neaurophen while drinking is great.

the hangover is dehydration, since alccohol is a diaretic.

neurophen is a strong anti diaretic.

I once went round to see a friend who'd been out the night before.

He looked awful, eyes like piss-holes in the snow...

I said what he needed was a nice greasy fry-up, he turned green and managed "You utter bast..." before rushing to the toilet.

My work there was done.

ive never understood that reaction

irn bru and a fry up cured me of all ills
